The End I & II

In these two video works, text from The End of old movies was appropriated and constructed as a free standing sign which was then taken to sites in the English landscape - the shore of a lake at sunset, on a beach looking out to sea - and re-filmed.
These works take the artificial texts and place them into the countryside combining cinematic escapism with the escapism presented by tourism in the natural environment
